Trauma Informed Care
Trauma Informed Care (TIC) is a process of supporting resilency, self-care and self-healing, and the process of unweaving tangled areas, especially those areas that serve as barriers to emotional, mental, physical, and financial wholeness. CFCAR has developed from a trauma informed care perspective a 24 month transitional and independent living program coupled with a holistic view of care to (1) assist women in recovering from trauma and homelessness, and (2) prepare women to become
productive citizens, and leaders of their lives and communities.
